Memorial Service For Air and Sea Dead Held At Odd Fellows Hall

On Sunday afternoon June 9 a memorial service was held at Odd Fellows Hall at 2 30 pm in honor of Air and Sea heroes. Representatives from patriotic bodies attended.

Ask Elevated Bus To Winthrop Line In Boston Metro

A letter from Mr. McCarthy discusses an elevated bus line from Orient Heights to the Winthrop Bridge. The proposal would provide a straight ten cent fare from the Winthrop Bridge to any part of Boston, with the line described as a bus route in street terms.

159 To Graduate From High School

One hundred and fifty nine students will bid farewell to the local high school next Wednesday evening when the graduating exercises of the Class of 1929 will take place. The class is large but not the largest ever to graduate from the local high school. Rev. Henry J. Wharton will lead the graduates.
