The notice states WPA replaces ERA in Winthrop effective December 1. Residents on ERA and welfare rolls as of May 1, 1935 become laborers until WPA reclassification occurs. Citizenship Drive At Winthrop By Jewish League
The Jewish Civic League of Winthrop reports strong results in a drive to help non citizens apply for citizenship. Atty Sydney D Goldberg, chair of the Citizenship Committee, notes many applicants visited League Headquarters in the first week. Citizens may call at 425 Shirley Street on Tuesday evenings from 8 to 9 for guidance.

Transfer Request for Street Department Funds Approved

Governor urged to appoint local fisheries and game director
