The Stage Door Associates staged Booth Tarkington’s The Wren last Friday at the Winthrop Theatre. Helen J. Davis and J. K. Arthur L Brown son of Judge Charles J Brown of Winthrop heads a champion intercollegiate debating team at Boston University He captained the team that defeated the University of Pennsylvania in 1924 and is slated to join a European tour to debate Oxford next spring Brown is a member of Delta Mu Delta and Delta Sigma Rho and began debating in Winthrop High School.
Word reached Mr Charles R Bennison that Mrs Mary Elizabeth Irwin widow of Captain Samuel Irwin died in Turlock California on December 2 The family had long lived at 247 Main Street Funeral arrangements awaited further notice with body expected to be shipped here for interment
