The Winthrop Trust Company reports resources totaling 1,127,708.93 with plans for a new building in August. The expansion includes larger public space, private rooms, coupon booths, and a president’s private room to attract customers and boost deposits beyond 1.1 million.
Sunday afternoon at Point Shirley Bernard F Farrell of the Boston Post rescued Willie Eastman son of Dr William Eastman of Boston after the boy twice struggled in the water. The rescued youth was revived and is reported fully recovered. Farrell, a year round resident, declined further praise.
The general committee of the lawn party for St John of the Evangelist church announces a benefit event next Saturday August 21 on church grounds. Proceeds fund church activities and community outreach.
