Cottage Park Yacht Day Draws Crowd After Stormy Race

A Cottage Park Yacht Club event drew a large crowd despite a heavy storm. Nutmeg Twice won the 15 foot class with a time of 1 13 30, while Nic Nac and Meave followed. Bud Brooks led racing efforts, and Dan Buckley of Pleasant Park Yacht Club rescued three capsized boats during fierce conditions.

Yacht racing plans set for summer series and 15-foot cup

Beta Smith and Nut Class racers are named among capsized boats in a report of yacht events. Plans are arranged for a weekly Tuesday Thursday regatta with a September Saturday 15-foot class race. Yacht Union points will count toward a trophy for the 1920 series. Comdr W W Oakes heads the regatta committee with officers and helpers listed. Water sports are run by a separate committee. A 100-yard swim won by William Talcott for men and Bertha Vickerson for girls. (Continued on Page 8.)
