Coast Guard seeks hundreds for temporary reserve duty
The Coast Guard recruiting office in Boston announced hundreds of men who were previously disqualified for minor physical defects or age limits may enlist in the Coast Guard Temporary Reserve. Recruits will perform beach patrols in the New England district to free regular personnel for afloat combat units. Waivers exist for some defects, fitness must be sound, and full-time service with standard pay and clothing is provided.
