Registrar Goodwin Sets Dimont Rules For Coastal Roads
State Registrar Frank A. Goodwin issued new rules for coastal districts after a survey. Motorists may travel in low beam areas from half an hour after sunset to half an hour before sunrise with speed limited to 30 mph and dimmed headlights except in designated dim-out zones. East Boston, Winthrop, South Boston and many Greater Boston streets will shift to low beams, easing the blackout on these routes.
