Identified Colby Dancer Killed By Frisco Train
From Mulberry Kansas a theatre manager identified L. Lewis of Colby Kansas as the man killed by a Frisco train Monday night two and a half miles east of town. His father Henry M. Lewis of Colby has been notified. The deceased was a buck and wing dancer and had been hired to perform a stunt in Mulberry. Undertaker Lewis Rogers will hold the body per the father’s directions. Lewis carried a $2,000 life policy payable to his father.

Muskogee Tracks Southwest Finest Half Mile Facility
Muskogee Oklahoma July 27 The Muskogee fair now has the finest half mile race track in the southwest and for the second annual fair to be held October 9 to 14 inclusive offers an excellent program of racing events. Eighteen thousand dollars in prize money has been put up for the trotting pacing and running races. Muskogee is a member of the Great Western and Kansas Oklahoma circuits and this year's events promise to surpass anything in track history. Since last year the race track has been re oiled with clay and enjoys an enviable reputation among horsemen for speed and merit.

State Board Raises Valuations Across Oklahoma
Oklahoma City July 27 The state equalization board raised assessed values statewide by about 25 percent for hogs, cattle 20 percent, horses 25 percent, and mules 21 percent. Automobiles across counties except Oklahoma were valued at 100 percent. Land values in Oklahoma county may surge about 500 percent with proposed $1000 per acre valuations. Garfield County leads increases at 64 percent, many counties see 10 to 60 percent raises. The board debated per cent versus dollar expressions, with the attorney general prevailing for dollar amounts. Hog and sheep rules set various class values, and cattle standards set by county. Oklahoma county land valuations await separate action.

Frisco Management ordered from American Car and Foundry of St Louis thirty four chair cars and coaches twenty six mail cars and two baggage cars. Delivery is planned for November and the equipment will serve the St Louis New Orleans service and the Pacific coast runs the cars are all steel and finished in mahogany and lighted by electricity. All mail cars will fully equip every mail train on the Frisco line. Each passenger car will have three wheel tracks enhancing safety and comfort.

Four Killed In Trench Collapse On Municipal Sewer Project
A deadly accident occurred five miles from Muskogee Oklahoma during construction on the municipal trunk sewer line to the Arkansas River. Four workers died outright and six were badly hurt. most are expected to recover. The dead include Charles Metcalf of Lexington Kentucky and M P Winters, plus two unidentified Black men and a Muskogee resident. Injuries list several workers with broken bones and head injuries. Over two hundred witnesses watched the collapse.
