Historic district may shield Fauquier bridge plans from review

In Fauquier County the historic district designation of the Rockland area could affect a new eight foot two lane bridge at Morgan Ford, though officials say the district is honorific and will not restrict property ownership. VDOT and federal partners completed historic surveys, with nomination plans slated for January and a public meeting in April.
