Warren County approves backyard chicken ordinance on residential lots
County supervisors passed a backyard chicken ordinance 4-1 after a public hearing. It allows noncommercial keeping of up to six chickens on half acre lots and scales up to 24 on larger parcels with pen requirements, permits, and biosecurity measures. Opposition cited cost and burden, with one supervisor dissenting.
