N J firm acquires former Amerisist facilities in Front Royal and beyond
Raydian Properties of Ramsey New Jersey has acquired four Fox Trail Senior Living communities including the Amerisist sites in Front Royal Virginia and Stephens City plus properties in Manassas and Orange. The four facilities now operate under the Raydian banner. Raydian plans substantial renovations and staff training as part of expanding its family centric approach.

Aikens Group of Winchester announced site work has begun on TownePlace Suites by Marriott beside River ton Commons Shopping Center. The 84 unit hotel will include studios and multi room suites with kitchens and living areas and amenities such as an exercise room pool and grilling area. Marriott International is reviewing plans as crews proceed with site work aiming for a summer 2018 opening. The developer also owns multiple hotels in Winchester and surrounding areas.

Woman treated after house fire in Shenandoah Farms
A Tuesday morning fire at 100 Mountain Lake Drive Shenandoah Farms caused 75000 in damages and killed two family pets. Owner Alice Huff and her mother escaped. Huff was treated for smoke inhalation and later released. Fire started in a basement bedroom and was under control in ten minutes. investigators consider the blaze accidental.
