Green Valley Baptist Church Gets Indoor Water in Historic Site
One of the county's oldest churches, Green Valley Baptist, celebrated running water with a May pump and go system. A Sunday service at 11 a.m. will include a barbecue. Sunday School starts at 10 a.m. Pastor Tim Kirchoff noted the site near the McKay House, dating to the 1700s. The 1800s building was bought by the church in 1986 after a former Methodist church. Funding for the roughly $18,000 installation came from about 45 members.
