Warren County paid $115,937 on December 28 to fund water and sewer services in the Winchester Road corridor north of Front Royal. The payment covers half of the 30 percent meals tax and 5 percent lodging tax revenue sharing, with the remainder due June 30.

Blake Christian Noakes, 19, of Randolph Avenue, was sentenced in Warren County Circuit Court to two years probation for assaulting a woman on or about August 23, 2016. Judge Ronald Napier suspended all prison time except time served. Noakes faced charges of strangulation resulting in wounding or bodily injury.

Carole Millinder 46 warrants from another jurisdiction. Kaci Striker 19 felony distributing marijuana released on recognizance. Trevor Lee 29 reckless involuntary DUI manslaughter indictment awaiting in Warren County Circuit Court. Edna Smith 41 failure to appear warrant due Tuesday.

A 17 year old Front Royal resident was arrested after shots were fired from a North Bradley Street townhouse. Police recovered a stolen .380 pistol, marijuana paraphernalia, and drug residue. the teen faces multiple counts including shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of a stolen firearm. He was held at the Northwestern Regional detention center.
Frederick County Circuit Court sentenced Kevin Lee Legg to 10 years with six years to serve in prison for aggravated sexual battery involving a 14 year old relative. The 38 year old must register as a sex offender and will have three years of supervised probation after release. Legg was also charged with marijuana possession after deputies found a metal smoking device. He is jailed pending transfer to a state prison.
