The Warren County Department of Fire and Rescue Services urges households to prepare for the winter holidays. Fire Chief Richard E. Mabie outlines steps to prevent fires, including using fire retardant artificial trees, proper fresh tree care, safe placement away from heat sources, certified outdoor and indoor lights, replacing damaged cords, following light strand limits, never using candles on trees, turning lights off at night, disposing of dried trees, and bringing outdoor lights indoors after the holidays.
