Happy Creek upgrade talks ahead of re zoning plan

Warren County seeks to re zone 23 acres at Shenandoah Shores and Happy Creek roads. The plan shifts A-1 to A-1, with planning commission backing in July. New city council members will handle first reading next year as a $35 million project targets January bidding and a March contract. The new middle school for 800 students opens fall 2017 after a 2016 delay due to purchasing the site from the EDA for 1 million dollars. The Leach Run Parkway land addition expands the site, drawing council concerns over re zoning and coordination with the county and EDA.
