New Pastor Appointed at Wakefield United Methodist Church
The Rev. J Harold Wallis of Lake Linden was named to serve Wakefield United Methodist Church by Bishop Dwight E Loder at Adrian College on June 10 during the Detroit Conference 128th session. Wallis succeeds Rev James Lumsden who served the area for several years. Soldier receives honorable discharge after Korea service
Gets Honorable Discharge left Thursday morning by plane from Korea where he served over a year with the Signal Corps. He recently discharged from the armed forces and stopped at Fort Lewis Washington and Milwaukee to visit Brother and sister in law Ted Golembeski. He entered service in October 1967 and will vacation with his parents Ted Golembeski Sr. and Mrs. Ted Golembeski. Michael held a specialist-4 rating at discharge.

C J Haskins resigned from the Wakefield civil service commission after 18 years and the city will accept applications to fill the vacancy at the next regular meeting.
