Harold K Brandt Honored At Highlands University Park dedication
Harold K Brandt, longtime Highlands University athletics booster and faculty member, is honored with the dedication of H K Brandt Park at Highlands University today at 1 30 p m. The ceremony recognizes his decades of service to intercollegiate athletics and the universitys athletic program. Born November 19 1910 in Wakefield Michigan Brandt has taught at Highlands since 1938 and chaired the Faculty Athletic Committee for 25 years. He is lauded for his loyalty, leadership, and hands on work in expanding intramural and recreational facilities.

Gary D. Aho of Wakefield among 440 Michigan Tech students honored at the 15th Annual Honors Convocation. Recipients included top class honorees, dean's list members, and scholars. Aho received Copper Country Memorial Scholarship and joined Sigma Gamma Epsilon. Also reports NMU commencement set for June 4 with 494 graduates, including Wakefield and other area students. 60 master’s and 434 bachelor’s degrees.
