Secrist Leads Philadelphia District after VMI Roots
Secrist, a Shenandoah Valley native and VMI graduate, rose to Lt. Col. and now commands 500 engineers in the Philadelphia District spanning New York to Pennsylvania. His career spans Baghdad, Ft. Hood assignments, and multiple advanced degrees. He credits family, church, and small-town values for his service and notes the two-year posting in Philadelphia offers cultural attractions and strong local military support.
