Elkton Theater to be Auctioned Online Next Week
The Elkton Theater built in 1949 goes to online auction July 15 to 29 at realtybid.com. U.S. Marshals Service asset forfeiture coordinator Victoria Johnson said the theater and a nearby 1,120 square foot Rocky Bar Road home, built in 2006, were seized from Joyce Marie Crawford and her son Kenneth Odell Crawford. An easement issue on the home is resolved and bids will be considered with a minimum bid undisclosed. The theater roof has holes and asbestos is likely. showings by appointment through Gary Mitchell of Massanutten Realty. An open house for the Rocky Bar home is expected before auction closes. The theater has not been updated and requires a 100 percent renovation to become a community asset.

Dearing's Elkton building wins June 2015 Enhancement Award
Elkton Downtown Revitalization Corp honors 183 Spotswood Trail with the Community Enhancement Award and plaque. In a 93 year history the porcelain block walls mark the construction after the 1922 Fire, with owners including Joe Lucas and Gene Hensley.

White Oak Lavender Farm Delights with Dozens of Varieties
White Oak Lavender Farm at 2644 Cross Keys Road spans 25 acres and offers over 30 lavender varieties in pink white and purple shades.
