Elkton police need 12000 for a new K 9 dog to replace Venjo retired in February. Chief Aaron Hammer said 8300 has been raised, about 69 percent. The dog would be a German Shepherd or Belgian Malinois trained for drug detection tracking and suspect apprehension with Bul locks K9 Training in Greenville NC.
