A satirical poem argues that a moneyless campaign is futile and mocks Democrats crying Stop Thief. It says Salvation may be free but education costs billions, and spending millions to inoculate citizens against Wilson's doctrines should not cause comment.
A farewell reception honored Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Dunbar at the Ninth Street Branch Y M C A with music and speeches praising Dunbar’s service to the Y M C A and the city. They were presented with a hammered silver punch bowl set. A list of financiers will appear in an upcoming issue.

The Assembly of a Mock Congress meets September 8 and 9 at Allen Temple A M E Church Cincinnati Ohio to discuss a ratification bill for the League of Nations peace treaty. A Thursday night vote is promised with music by Jones orchestra and a note inviting all to attend.
The Session was praised as the greatest in the Order’s history. Officers elected include Caesar R. Blake Jr as Imperial Potentate and E. Leving as Second Ceremonial Master. Sinai Temple No 59 donated $50.06 to Daughters of Isis funds. A marching club event is set for September 16 at the Masonic Hall in Fort Worth.
The brief praises local citizens and Masons for hospitality during the International Conference the week of August 22. It notes thousands of visitors, many finding homes, some not reporting to General Headquarters, and declares the event the banner entertainment of the region.
In Hunt Street Park a grand drill drew thousands as Ivan Hoe from New York won first prize, Topeka Kansas took second, and Kansas City Missouri placed third.
Marshall W. Clay of Kentucky was elected President of the International Conference of K. T. and Hon. Wm. Copelan was named First Vice President.
At the Crescent Club Hotel Sterling Wednesday night Grand Master Holmes and Grand Master Parker spoke. Grand Secretary A A Schomburg delivered the main address, praised as a renowned scholar and historian on Negro history. DuBois noted Schomburg’s vast collection and expertise. he heads a department in a top New York bank.
