Waliso Dancers aim for California festival and revival
The Waliso Dancers of Explorer Post 15 in New Windsor, led by John Prokosch, have performed 25 times this year and plan five days of competition at the University of California Santa Barbara starting Aug. 19. The 12-member troupe, sponsored by the New Windsor American Legion, is raising half their $2,800 trip cost through car washes and bake sales while learning Native American history and regalia making.
