Montgomery Ward account error corrected after mix up
A Middletown customer complained of a perpetual balance of 40.08 on a 1970 Montgomery Ward order. The firm explained records moved from Poughkeepsie to Albany and a computer fault caused the misstatement. After notification, the balance was corrected with a 40.20 credit and a zero balance.

Moths Hit Wurtsboro Trees In Silence on Spray
Harry Decker of the State Department of Environmental Conservation says gypsy moths will spread through Wurtsboro and Wurtsboro Hills this year. A Greenwood Road resident reports trees eaten and spray planes passing overhead without spraying. Unidentified resident notes defoliation last year and residents’ lack of permission forms limits spraying. Decker cites a substantial portion of homeowners not returning forms.
