Heavy crop damage in east state from Hessian fly

Child Drowns in Open Water Bucket Near Dalton
William Dean Prehn two year old son of Br and Mrs W J Prehn and Potter area farmers died after falling into an open bucket of water behind their home. He was last seen alive ten minutes before discovery by his mother. A Dalton physician team failed to revive him. Funeral services were held Saturday at Potter Methodist Church with Rev Troy officiating. Burial followed in Potter cemetery. The family lives sixteen miles northwest of Dalton. William Dean was their only child.
