37 year old Peetz farmer Oppie was taken to a Sterling hospital Friday after falling eight feet from a header barge while working at a neighbor’s farm. Henry Neilsen 25 of Lodge Pole was arrested last week after allegedly passing a forged $30.85 check at the Terry Carpenter filling station. George Puckett Injured In Wreck With Colorado Truck
George Puckett was slightly injured and his car badly wrecked in a Friday night collision four miles north of town with a Colorado truck. The left side of the car was smashed and the front axle sprung. Puckett was taken to town by Leo Burke and attachment papers against the truck were filed. Deputy Sheldon seized the truck and a hearing is set for early September.

Mary Call Funeral Held Sunday In Local Church
Mary Irene Call daughter of John Call of this city died last Thursday at a Kearney sanitarium. Born November 19 1913 in Sidney she grew up here and attended local schools and Sidney High School. Funeral services were at the Christian church Sunday afternoon with Rev J H Bicknell, burial in Greenwood cemetery. Interment was by Rice Funeral Home. Surviving are her father three brothers Elmer Joe and John Jr and three sisters Mrs Douglas Cruise Susan Jane and Ruth. Her mother and a brother Calvin preceded her.

Auto Collision In Bronson Leaves No Serious Injuries
A car driven by John Livoni suffered slight damage near Browns on Friday night after being struck by another vehicle from the west. Livoni's lights were out during repairs when the collision occurred and Mrs. Livoni fainted briefly but was revived before an ambulance arrived. Both drivers continued without aid.
