Taber court fines issued in multiple drug and driving cases
In Taber provincial court on Aug 5, 2008, Rudy Beattie faced 800 in fines and 120 victim surcharge after pleading guilty to possession of 1.5 grams of crack cocaine. Jennifer Holtom received 750 in fines and a one year driving prohibition for driving with a blood alcohol level over .08, plus 100 for failing to appear. Michael Wilson was given time served plus 500 in fines for driving while disqualified, plus 45 days jail for probation breach. Shane Journaud received 30 days intermittent custody for failing to comply with a recognizance. William Rhodes faced 600 in fines on multiple theft and mischief counts, with a 90 victim surcharge.
