The Summer Session Study Center opens registration for college or high school credit with a county director overseeing courses. Financially constrained students may earn two to six hours of college credit at low cost, while teachers seeking credit for financial reasons may also participate. Residence credit is available for courses, and all interested should report to the county superintendent's office.
The church plans services next Sunday marking the first quarter of its year with special choir music and a sermon aimed at spiritual nourishment. Stewart Barhart will lead the Seniors in a discussion on missionary work in New Mexico. The Seniors host a contest drawing a larger turnout than usual. Miss Ella Loth of Diller and Harvey Meints of Beatrice were married June 20 at St. John’s Lutheran Parsonage Beatrice with Rev Lechner officiating. Attendants were Mr and Mrs Harry Allen of Diller. After a 5 pm dinner the couple returned to Beatrice where the groom is employed at the Store Craft factory.

Linn Marthis of Fairbury was in a collision with a bridge abutment while driving a Gat neat.
