A Wells family reunion was held at E. J. Wells home in Steele City last Sunday. Attendees included Emily C. Wells aged 88 and two daughters from Oklahoma City, five Wells sons and their families from Cuba Kansas Belleville Kansas Lincoln Lavern Oklahoma Walnut Ridge Arkansas. A picnic fed forty five guests. FE. J. Wells and sisters planned to visit Alton Kansas next to see Mrs. R. H. Grantham and brother Fred Wells.

On Monday June 12 1933 an annual meeting of School District No 1 will decide whether to continue Normal Training. Discontinuing saves one teacher at 75 dollars per month for nine months. Taxpayers urged to attend. Dc C Andrews president.

Mrs Ruby Rhoden entertained about forty five friends and relatives for her mother Mrs Ira Harper on Sunday May 28. The event featured a cafeteria style luncheon at noon followed by ice cream and cake.

Secret Wedding Planned for Tuesday at Church Parlor
The Ladies Aid sponsors a midday wedding in the church parlors on Tuesday at 2 30 sponsor promises a graceful ceremony. Memorial Day Observed by Campbell-Cline Legion Post
Memorial Day services were held in the Improvement Co hall under Campbell-Cline Legion post with Arthur Denny of Fairbury delivering a substantial address on democracy and patriotism. The program included band selections and a Lincoln Gettysburg reading, followed by a cemetery service at Steele City. Attendance was large as attendees joined veterans to honor those who served.
