Santa visits Clark's store crowds delight local youngsters

The appearance of Santa Claus at Clark's store Wednesday evening drew a good crowd and was a special attraction for the children who received treats. Also noted are local family visits, school vacation plans, medical updates, and shop advertisements from Fairbury and nearby areas.

Christmas Sunday School and Church Services Recap

Bitterly cold morning did not deter large Sun day school and church attendance. The day featured a Christmas pageant directed by Miss Margaret Gretzinger with Miss Gretzinger assisted by Mrs. Sampson and primary teachers. Choir and orchestra enhanced the service with Christmas music and a missionary offering was taken.

Andy Hardesty and son Lester visit Salina to see his mother in her eightieth year with a broken hip. Sheridan Davis attends funeral of sister Kin sie Rose in Hollenberg. she was 76 and lived with son Frank Rose in Fairbury. Anlee Stock Co performs in Improvement Co hall with growing audience and more cast announced for Tosca.

Mrs. E Tarnow has been quite sick this week. Miss Susan Taylor visited Hollenberg Thursday. Charles Lenker, formerly of Steele City, moved to his father's army west of town this week.

The Kensington group met on Tuesday December 12 at the home of Mrs. Alice. Gretainger provided a festive program with holiday entertainment. The next meeting is planned with Mrs. Dansen and a New Year’s Resolution will be the response to roleall.
