Mrs. Emily Terry Church wife of Dr F T Church died in a fire started by a five gallon oil can explosion at the Church homestead near Seim. The building and contents were destroyed and the body was brought to Lemmon for burial. She was born 1882 in Chief River Falls Wisconsin and married May 18 last year.
The Commercial Club met to arrange a two day event on July 5 and 6 with a program of sports on Main street and a prominent Fourth of July parade. A three member committee Gross Berry and Harriman will oversee finances and form subcommittees for the celebration.
Bargain sale of a two room cottage at North Lemmon with two lots 16 by 30 feet, cellar, near the depot. Enquire of J. R. Miluax opposite Depot North Lemmon.
In Morristown, 105 lots were sold for a total of 29000 dollars marking a successful townsite sale. Highest bids reached 850 dollars for a corner lot and 800 dollars for the opposite lot. Lemmon band members and local buyers, including Oscar C. Olsen and Dr. McNamara, participated amid a festive evening with dancing and music.
Two crown mares missing or stolen, weights around 1100 and 1200 pounds, both shod all around with tires on. One mare was hobble restrained. Return to Herald office for reward. Contact T. E. Huare at 34 128 32.
