Thieves Steal Loaded Pistol From Postal Telegraph Warehouse
Thieves entered the Postal Telegraph warehouse at 409 Washington Street by a rear door and took a loaded revolver from a desk drawer. Alvin MelIntire, a company employee, alerted police. Capt. Edward Delaney and Detective Clarence Kearns led the investigation, but no suspect was found. Police circulated the pistol description and serial numbers to nearby towns in hopes of arresting the culprits.

Dummer Admits He Is Just Dumb in Disturbance
Charles Dummer, 45, of 104 Gardner Street, was found drunk in an alley with four home brew bottles and a partially filled moonshine bottle. After arrest he told officers he was dumb. He was jailed overnight and to be arraigned in police court today on a disorderly conduct charge.

Three Cars Damaged in Cass Street Collision
A three-vehicle crash last night at Cass street and Cassidy avenue damaged all cars. Daniel Mendoza of Clinton street struck William Johnson of Hebbard street, who swerved and hit James Gleason of Landau avenue. A pedestrian alerted police and officers controlled traffic.

Mexican Youth Arrested with Loaded Revolver
A Mexican youth who gave the name Antonio Gomez and residence in Rock Island was arrested last night when found carrying a loaded revolver. The arrest was made by Motorcycle Policeman Bernard McGann.

Abandoned Mrs Essie Boerger to Detroit after arrest
Mrs Essie Boerger, 21, of Anniston Alabama and her 11 month old daughter Helen were taken from the police station last Monday afternoon. She was arrested when her husband cashed a bogus check and fled as police approached. Peter McCarthy of the Morning Star mission bought them a bus ticket to Detroit where they will join relatives.
