2500 Teachers To Meet Here Today
2500 teachers from the northwest Illinois division will gather at the high school auditorium to hear three speakers, with musical numbers by Joliet groups. The program starts at 9 30 and features Stuart Chase, George Ayton Strayer, and Henry Turner Bailey. County schools will close for the day to permit attendance.

Three Hurt In Accident in Joliet Area
A youth, John Gualdoni, 16, was hit by a hit and run motorist while crossing near Second and Iowa. Elmer Walker of Morris and Mrs J Dunn of Peoria were injured in separate crashes near Ruby and Center streets. A third vehicle overturned south of Joliet near Patterson road. the car was not found.

Public show-up of 26 robbery suspects draws Joliet crowd
Twenty six suspects were paraded before a packed Joliet courtroom as part of a first public show-up. Detectives questioned each suspect while lighting prevented identification, and several victims identified individuals after the event. Police officials plan more show-ups to help deter crime in Joliet and the county.
