Mayor Seeks City Property Appraisals for New Buildings

County Schools to Get $1 Million Aid From New Tax Bill

Illinois lawmakers approved a half cent sales tax increase to fund school aid. Joliet area schools will receive about $1 million in flat grants plus additional equalization funds, with Will County schools benefiting most after a six month delay.
