April 6 township results show Emmett McGuire victor in highway race

Final vote tallies from the township election announce Demcrat Emmett McGuire defeating Republican William Hamilton by 803 votes for highway commissioner. James Clyne wins trustee over Dr. Francis La Piana by 899 votes. Complete returns show a strong Republican turnout with 12 assistant supervisors elected.
