Pleasant View Township Fair Draws Crowds and Exhibits

A recent Pleasant View Township fair drew large crowds with corn maize sorghum pumpkins squashes melons and fine colts and cattle. Premiums were awarded though the final list was not ready. An exhibit by Goodman Mercantile Co showcased local crop samples in Roy New Mexico drawing curious observers.

Roy Market Moves to New Quarters in Prominent Corner

The Roy Land & Live Stock Co moved into new quarters in The Roy building on the corner previously occupied by the Palace Bar. The meat market's layout is improved and stock doubled with new shelving and a building overhaul. Exterior refacing with concrete and repainting is planned, and with the nearby Post Office, trees, and growth this year, the corner is described as the most attractive in town.

Mrs Stone Returns Home After Hospital Stay

Mrs Stone, previously hospitalized for three months with a fractured hip, returned to her La Cinta Canyon home from Solano. Dr Frank Brady accompanied Mrs Henry Stone, who traveled on a cot in the baggage car and is expected to recover after a painful siege in the hospital.

County Division Opinion Reflects Uncertain Plan

A local editorial expresses no firm commit to county divisions via a Constitutional Convention. It urges counties to determine their needs before action and hints at Roy becoming the county, while acknowledging the delay in settling what is desired and how to obtain it.
