Weekly Crop Bulletin Santa Fe May 17 1904
The period opened cool and dry with wind then turned to scattered showers and higher temperatures. Rain relieved drought in parts near Roswell and the Continental Divide but was inadequate elsewhere, leaving water supplies largely unchanged. New grass is starting, lambing neared completion with variable losses, cattle declines eased on southern ranges, and ditch-irrigated crops advanced while overall acreage remained light. Wheat corn and alfalfa progress, with fruit yields expected to be irregular.
