Pioneer George McGowan Dies at 63 in Idaho Copperfield Ranch

George McGowan pioneer of Custer county Idaho died September 3 1903 at 11 50 p m at his Salmon River ranch after weeks of stomach cancer. Born in Juliette Canada May 1 1840 he lived as a stockman and former county commissioner leaving a wife and five children Pearl Wells George Henry Verne and others. Funeral held at Odd Fellows hall with large attendance and burial in town cemetery.
