Citizens' Party Convention at Challis Discusses Platform

The Citizens' Party of Custer County met in regular convention at Challis on October 9 1902 with nearly all precincts represented. R A Pierce opened the session, Peter McGuire elected chairman and Clarence E Eddy secretary. The platform endorsed anti ring rule equal rights equitable taxation and support for eight hour labor in mining. A ticket was nominated for state senate Mackay and other county offices, with a county central committee named and a harmonious gathering reported.
