Road ditch dispute and county road swap in Challis district
October 10 1898 meeting of Custer county Idaho board with Commissioners Knapp Treloar McGowan and Keyes. Antonio Tognana offered to replace the old county road with a new ditch crossing his ranch and requested the county accept it in lieu of the former road, agreeing to hold the county harmless for ditch damage. The board ordered record entry and set January 1899 for related petitions, bids for county printing and indigent care, and directed road overseers to halt further work on Snel roads after Oct 15 1898. Other items included Challis precinct registrar replacement, wood supply bids rejected, and numerous current expense accounts approved.
