A Boise migrant miner named D Debernardi died at the Lost Packer mine on Monday morning May 8 after a 24 hour illness described as pneumonia or Tonopah disease. Dr Kirtley was summoned but arrival came too late. The death occurred near Loon Creek with only scattered details.

Mammoth cave found near Timmeran Idaho
The Hailey News-Miner reports John L. Timmerman said his son Henry and Priestly Tomlinson discovered an extensive cave named Mammoth about six miles south of Timmeran, one mile from the main road. The entrance is small but leads to an 80 foot high, 30 foot wide chamber extending a quarter mile into a bluff. Plans call to enlarge the entrance and map the full extent.

Mr. Nels Olson, a longtime Challis resident and former sailor born in Sweden, died Friday morning May 12, 1905, of stomach cancer. He endured months of illness with stoic patience after seeking treatment in Salt Lake City. Surrounded by family and friends, his funeral Sunday drew a large crowd. he leaves a wife and other relatives.
