Stanley Float Dredge With Winter Work and Prospects
The Stanley Float dredge resumed operations on the 29th and runs well. Snow has nearly melted, grass is sparse, and salmon trout are appearing with many already caught. Output from placer gold is expected light due to low water. McAdair and Lutz have wintered on the Mountain group, uncovering high grade ore. Weeks and Co. drive a tunnel on the Vyse group, encountering 40 feet of ore. ore grades range from 4 to 10 per ton and is suitable for cyanide processing. The group is owned by A H Weeks Fay D Young and H Strong of Boise.
