Lost Packer Mines To Ramp Up Idaho Loon Creek Works
About 40 laborers and miners have begun work for the Lost Packer company at Loon creek. They will complete seven miles of wagon road to Jordan and Loon creeks and push grading for a 100 ton smelter, with machinery arriving in Mackay next month. The plant will be modern and large, enabling mining on a big scale with 300 workers. Under J A Czizek, Lost Packer has grown from a two year old prospect to a leading Idaho mine, with stock rising from 25 cents to 2.25 per share. The company also owns 22 adjoining claims. Light snow this winter allows earlier spring mining and freighting in Custer county.
