Notice to the public announces Mrs M Jose provides first class meals and lodging northwest of R N Hull Co store Challis Idaho with large rooms good beds and a fine table. Rates are daily weekly or monthly and reasonable.
A Salt Lake Tribune report from Challis details Fitz Mack’s Utah visit describing Thunder Mountain and the approach by Blackfoot Mackay and Challis routes. It notes rail and wagon road progress, a daily Mackay–Challis service within sixty days, and a large mining field with rumored rich finds. It also lists Idaho court cases and local notices, including Judge Perky and community updates.
A fragmented poem reveals a speaker recalling youth and a shared love as the moonlit sea also observes time passing. The verses loop through memory, longing, and the ache of aging, ending with an acknowledgment that the tale they told has become a hollow page. Shelley Sutton, Huber City, Ore.
Friday night program directed by Mr. F A Reed drew a large attendance at Challis hall for church benefit. The varied program included choir pieces, recitations, solos and piano numbers by Mrs Reed Miss Keenan and others. All numbers received loud applause and receipts totaled 01.00.
District Court docket lists criminal and civil matters for the Challis term beginning on the 10th. Names include John Pettigrew for the state and W. J. Me for the defendant, with Raum charged with Robbery and Bert Benson assault with a deadly weapon. Arthur Wilcox prosecuted by L. H. Johnston for the state, R. A. Pierce for the defendant.
Custer county treasurer alerts that warrants from the General Redemption Fund and Bounty Fund, issued in January 1896 and January 1902 respectively, will accrue interest at 0.07 percent from registry to ten days after this March 11, 1902 advertisement, and must be presented within sixty days.
