On Monday Jan 20 at 4 am a fatal shooting occurred at Cliff mining camp near Mackay. Henry Reed died after being shot at his saloon by John Dick with a .44 Colt revolver. Reed was struck about two inches below the right shoulder, with the weapon used firing a single fatal bullet.
