Song theft claim over 1910 anthem in Idaho notebook

Clarence Eppy alleges a 1910 song written in an isolated Idaho cabin was stolen and repurposed by George W. Hobart and Silvio Hein, with Blanche Ring performing it in New York. He claims copyright imprinting deprived him of credit and notes the original poem appeared in the Messenger on October 4, 1910, dated nineteen hundred and ninety nine.

Another Old Timer Gone A Erickson Dies in Clayton Area

A Erickson died December 25 1910 at Small Bros ranch above Clayton. Eric Alesander Erickson born Stavenger Norway August 1944 came to the United States as a young man. He joined the Chicago fire department then mined in California Utah and Nevada before settling in Custer county to mine and prospect for years. He was respected and charitable, living to ease others, but died of pneumonia with a few friends at his bedside.

Regular session to swear in new county officers

The County Commissioners meet in regular session next Monday when the new county officers will be sworn in. The Idaho legislature convened yesterday and taxes may be paid up to and including next Monday the 9th after which date they become delinquent. Sheriff-elect Huntington and family are moving to Challis.

Absconding Debtor Henry Adamson Denied by Creditors

Notice states Henry Adamson allegedly fled to dodge creditors. The signer, W. W. Adamson, declares the accusation malicious and false, asserting Adamson left with first class security enough to pay debts twice over. Any obligations will be settled in due time by securities or cash realized on them.
