The Secretary of Agriculture authorizes grazing for Challis National Forest in 1911. 5,000 cattle and horses and 65,000 sheep may graze with season dates and rates: cattle 25 to 35 cents, horses 45 to 85 cents, sheep 6 cents. Maximum limits set for sheep, cattle. applications due March 1, 1911.

Mrs Kimball Dead After Stroke in Challis
Mrs. Emily N. Kimball died at Challis on December 20 after a stroke paralyzing her body began with vomiting and a bath. Born 1841 in Marysville Ohio, she married Levi Kimball in 1861 and raised eleven children, with seven living. Burial was in LaPlatte Nebraska. she is remembered as devoted, trusted, and loved. Clyde Wilkinson and Amelia Marker wed quietly in Clayton and will soon settle in Challis. The Christmas Cantata at the opera house drew a large crowd, with praise for the children and teachers.
