Mrs J P Spalding opens a first class board and lodging house at her northeast town residence near the Fox hotel offering reasonable rates. The new setup invites patrons seeking comfortable accommodations in a convenient area.
A long list of local notes includes December events such as a Friday dance on Dec 15 and a concert planned by Miss Annie Lee Fitch on Dec 27. The item also mentions Ed Huffman visiting from Mackay, Mrs. Honey arriving from Kansas, and various mining and social happenings around Challis.
State Board of Land Commissioners announces applications to lease state lands must be filed with the Idaho Register in Boise by January 1, 1906. Julius W Cross died suddenly at his home in Custer on Saturday December 2 at 6 o clock from apoplexy His wife found him unwell earlier that day and he passed away in his room Burial took place at Bonanza cemetery on Monday December 4 Cross a prominent Custer Commercial Co partner was about 40 and had long resided in the county He was highly respected and a fuller report will follow in the next issue
