Grand Master Magee visits Custer No 21 lodge and Rebekah bodies

Gra Levi Magee Grand Master of jd an official visit to Custer No 21. He was roy ally entertained by Custer No 21 Silver Leaf Rebekah No 2 and Custer Encampment No 10 with about fifty members present. A short program featured recitations and songs by local members. Magee praised the order’s growth, noting Idaho has 101 subordinate lodges and about 6,000 members. The gathering adjourned after a late banquet with flowers and Rebekah colors pink and green. Magee then left for Salmon City to meet other lodges.

Postoffice Established on Lucky Boy Hill in Custer

Custer Jottings reports a new post office with Mrs Cheney as postmistress on Lucky Boy hill. The Lucky Boy mill has resumed operations on the 14th. Local residents visiting Custer include Thos Horton Jerry Sullivan Ralph Larter and Will Reed. Mrs Mabel Shimmin and Will Barton arrived from Utah while their mother E M Burton remains ill but improving. Frank W Hunt arrived in Custer on the 16th and plans to head to Loon creek soon.
