Revara was reappointed to Rotman, Rev Banin to Dover, Rev DeFue to Burbank, Rev Spence to East Wales line, Rev Smith to Sterling, Rev Shafer to Montrose, and Rev A B Wilson starts a second year at North Hill Akron. The meeting was well attended with reports noting membership gains and financial steady growth. The next Ohio session will convene in Barberton next year.
The Woodmen Accident Insurance Co of Litcomn is praised for prompt death claim settlements. An agent reportedly paid $1000 to the widow of Webb Veney within an hour of death after a railroad accident. Mr Young said he would settle Earl Frey’s death claim in Marshallsville after a Massillon hospital auto crash.
While returning from Wooster, Mr and Mrs Gallentine were in a collision near Lodi after leaving the Massie home. Mrs Gallentine suffered a broken nose, facial lacerations, and arm injuries. she was treated at Lodi Hospital by Dr Whitacre and later returned to Wooster.
Robert Hickin departed Cleveland at six on Monday evening to begin his second year at Dartmouth College in Hanover New Hampshire.
Building activity brightens in Rittman as five Dutch Colonial homes on Grand Viewland Co property secure contracts. H C Dixon of Cleveland awarded the job, with occupancy planned in 90 days. Dixon recently completed the H E H McCracken house on the same development.
The Times-Press Newsboys Band of 64 pieces delivered an exceptional concert in Creston and vicinity last Thursday night. Audiences praised the performance and the boys musical talent under director Mr Garrison, hoping for a return engagement in the future.
Mr Grothie Noe of State Street was taken to a hospital for ex-soldiers in Cleveland last Saturday. Initial plans for immediate operation gave way to treatment and observation after examination. Noe is an ex-service man.
Alphus Goffinet owner of the Goffinet Theater visited Cleveland this week to buy new equipment for local playhouses. The seating will be entirely reworked with upholstered chairs and other fixtures. Remodeling will make Rittman an amusements center with top class entertainment for patrons. A new lineup includes John Barrymore in Tempest and Rod La Roque with Dolores Del Rio in Resurrection plus Douglas Fairbanks in The Man in the Iron Mask and Ronal d Coleman with Velma Banks in Two Lovers.
Earl Frey 27 died after being struck by an A and C fast passenger train at Houser Crossing near Marshallville. The Massillon hospital death occurred Saturday. funeral held Tuesday at 1 30 p m from Mennonite Church Marshallville with interment in Lower Cemetery. Frey son of Mr and Mrs Henry Frey living one mile south of Marshallville.
The Otterbein Guild of the U 8B Church guided by Mrs Verne Stout went on a Tuesday night hike then to the park where they ate many hamburger sandwiches and coffee. Each member could invite a guest.

A 72 year old Creston woman, Mina Orr, was struck and killed crossing South Main Street on Wednesday morning at 4 oclock by a car driven by Lab retne Shilling 23 and a 19 year old youth from Dalton. The victims suffered internal injuries with funeral services set for Saturday at 130 pm, at the Orr home and Canaan M E Church. Miss Orr is survived by five brothers and one sister.

Friends of Dr E R Alexa a former Rittman physician announce he has recovered sufficiently to be at his home in Orrville after a period of illness. Born in Mercy Hospital Santes, he had been one of the Westsylvania Railroad surgeons with offices at Canton.
