BAR-COP JBA hosts a Saturday two day Junior Bowling Clinic at Sunset Lanes Rittman on September 9 and 16 1972. Clinics train fundamentals including swing delivery stance and four step approach with AJBC instructors. Boys and girls may join a Junior Bowling League after the school and receive league formation details and registration cards. The AJBC serves about 60 000 Ohio youngsters and 700 000 nationwide, ranking as a top juvenile recreation group.

Fatality reported in multiple area traffic incidents
Ben Wilson 18 of 282 W Sunset Drive was treated and released after his car struck an Ohio Edison pole on Metzger Avenue. Rittman was charged with left of center and loss of control. David L Tackett 25 of 308 Nautilus Lane was cited for DWI and no operator's license after a crash on Grant Street. George Bricker 207 Highland Ave died from a coronary embolism while driving on County Road 70. Kenneth Schauwecker 16 of Bic Rittman crossed into Grant Schmid’s path on State Road 37. Lawrence Smith treated and released. The Schauwecker vehicle is owned by Gary Schauwecker. The incidents are under investigation.
